The Supremacy of the Son of God

(Colossians 1 15-23)

The invisible God,
Has His image in the Son,
He is the firstborn,
Over all creation

In Him all was made,
Both in heaven and earth,
Seen and unseen,
All thrones and all worth

All powers and rulers,
All authorities,
Have been created,
For Him and His ease

He is the forefront,
Before things we see,
All things are bound,
By His majesty

He is the body,
At church's head,
The start and the firstborn,
Of all the dead

God was pleased being,
In Him fully dwelt,
Such that His dying,
All things he remelt

His blood made the peace,
On the cross it flowed red,
You were once a stranger,
And a foe in your head

All of your sinning,
Made you enemy,
Your bad behaviour,
Meant you just couldn't see

Today you're adjusted,
To God do you bow,
In Christ and His body,
Through death to the now

If you carry on praying,
And and remember to laugh,
Stay with the righteous,
With the word as your path

Never moving from hope,
Make the gospel your worth,
Which has been spoken,
To all upon the earth

Then you remain holy,
And keep in His sight,
Unblemished and free,
From accusers and blight

This is my message,
And my name is Paul,
I, but a servant,
Have answered the call.
