The Lord is my Shepherd

(adapted from Psalm 23)

The Lord is my Shepherd,
I have no more wants,
He takes me aside,
To lay down among fonts

In green pastures I am,
By a cool running stream,
He refreshes my soul,
As I wake from my dreams

He guides me in ways,
Which are right by His name,
And so, as I walk,
In the darkest of lanes...

I don't fear the evil,
That's there on all sides,
'Cos God's with me always,
As I take my life's ride

He makes up my spread,
In front of my foes,
And oils my head,
Till my cup overflows

Surely His grace,
And bounteous love,
Will be with me each day,
As it's sent from above

I will live in the house,
Where the Lord has His home,
And forever I'll be,
By His glorious throne.
