Faith in the Incarnate Son

(from 1 John 5: 1-12)

They who love the father,
Love the son He sent,
So we love God's children,
By commandments

This is what God's love means,
Keeping every one,
Not a heavy burden,
For those who've overcome

That's how we were reborn,
We overcame the world,
This is our great victory,
It's how our faith unfurls

Who is it that says this?
Who says they've overcome?
Only those in Jesus,
Believers of the Son

The one who came by water,
His blood was also proof,
The Spirit is what says so,
The Spirit is the truth

Three is who are speaking,
Spirit, water, blood,
All in one agreement,
Accepted, understood

People can speak clearly,
But God's has the best tome,
His is the true story,
Given of the Son

If you are believers,
Truth ignites your fire,
Those who say it's not true,
Says that God's a liar

This is the our religion:
God gives eternal ways,
Living in his Son who,
Deals our endless days.
