Being Alive for God

(from 1 Peter 4: 1-11)

Bear yourself like Christ,
Body suffering,
Armed in similar ways,
Done sinning

Don't let others lead,
Earthly living,
That was in the past,
Pagan dying

Their time's spent in lust,
And drinking,
Worshipping what's false,
Not thinking

Surprise them with your choice,
Restraining,
When they heap abuse,
No answering

Called into account,
Wild living,
He will judge them all,
Dead lying

The gospel sets the bar,
Body seeing,
Live by what it says,
Spirit ruling

Time is near its end,
None remaining,
Stay alert and calm,
Keep praying

Love each other well,
Sin covering,
Greet and never moan,
In welcoming

Use your gifts to serve,
Grace stewarding,
So, when facing out,
God's speaking

With what He provides,
Go praising,
The power lies in Him,
Never ending
